Equity Seconds
Equity seconds are second
mortgages that use the equity in
your home as the basis upon which
a lender loans you money. The
money being borrowed is secured
entirely on the property.
Over-Equity Seconds
Over-equity seconds are second
mortgages that lend you money over
and above the value of your house.
These seconds are commonly known
as "125's" because they allow the
lender to loan you money at 125%
of your home's value. A portion of
this loan may not be secured on
your property.
